INTRODUCTION

The Physical Education and sport system in the country has been    challenged as never before as we find shortage of quality management leadership. It is certain that this profession can not be blessed with required high quality administrative leadership unless definite and positive steps are taken to expand and improve the quality of management education. In order to cope up with this complex situation the Department of Sport Management and Journalism offers one year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Sport Management. This course shall equip the students to pursue carriers in sport related services like offering healthy life style, creating new sport products and services, organize sport events and also find themselves in good sport management positions.

The career in Sports Journalism is also in high demand today. LNUPE provides the right place to
enthusiastic youth with journalistic abilities to pick and promote his / her career as Sports Journalist.
